Kampala - Workers of Garden tea limited in central Uganda's district of Buikwe got the shock of their life when one of them killed two colleagues and sucked their blood on broad daylight.
According to one of the leaders of the workers, Timothy Okulu, the killer has been identified as Gerald Ndawula.
Okulu said, ''Ndawula first speared Herman Mugwanya Muto in the chest. When Mugwanya fell down, Ndawula started sucking blood from the wound which the spear had inflicted.''
He added that when a female colleague called Christine Ndaru saw what was happening, she sounded the alarm, prompting Ndawula to jump from Mugwanya's body, then speared the girl several times and also started sucking blood from the wounds he had inflicted on her.
Other workers who had heard the girl wailing ran to the scene and found him still sucking the blood.
They picked stones and started hurling them at him until he fell down.
He was rescued by police who used teargas to disperse the crowd. They then took him to the hospital where he died on arrival. The bodies of the two workers were taken to Lugazi hospital.
