Man in hot soup for demanding sex in public

15 July 2016, 12:41 Godfrey Olukya

Kampala - A man who has the habit of demanding for sex in the presence of his children and sometimes other members of the public is nursing wounds inflicted on him by his annoyed wife.

40-year-old Moses Mwanje, a resident of Bulaga village in central Uganda's Wakiso district got a severe wound on his right arm Thursday night after his wife Fatuma Nalutaya poured him hot water meant for making Ugali.

Relatives of Mwanje Friday morning reported the matter to police and the woman was arrested.

In her defense, Nalutaya said: "My husband always comes back drunk and immediately he sees me, he immediately demands for sex regardless of whether am outside the house or inside."

She said that in most cases, he demands for sex in presence of their 4 children aged between 7 and 17.

She added that whenever he finds her outside the house, he grabs her, drags her into the house in presence of children and lustfully rapes her.

Mwanje confessed before police that ever since he lost his job, he has taken to drinking and that after drinking, he gets lust for sex and that is why he demands for sex in public.

He surprised the police and his relatives when he said that he does not want his wife punished for burning him with hot water.

''I have no job. She is the one who looks after me and the children. Set her free so she can continue looking after our children and I," said Mwanje.

Police relented and released the woman after warning her never to do such a thing again.
