Man forgives wife who attempted to chop off his manhood

08 August 2016, 14:38 Geoffrey Kimagut

Narok - A middle-aged man has forgiven his wife who pulled and squeezed his manhood in an attempt to chop it off.

Stanley Sameli Mukari forgave his wife Doris Nyamwita before Narok Principal Magistrate Titus Gesora after she was charged with assault and causing bodily harm.

The court heard that Nyamwita committed the heinous act on the night of August 2, 2016 at Kisiriri trading center in Narok North Sub County.

It is alleged that the couple had quarreled during the day after the husband threatened to bring in a co-wife as Nyamwita was not blessed with children.

Things seemed to have settled down by evening as the couple took their dinner and went to bed together.

However, things turned absurd at around 3 am in the morning when Mukari was woken up by the sudden attack by his wife.

After an hour’s struggle, he managed to free himself from the irate wife but sustained fatal injuries in his manhood since it was pulled and squeezed very hard.

He was taken to Narok County Referral hospital at dawn where he was treated and discharged in a stable condition condition.

The matter was reported to Narok police station where she was arrested.

The Principal magistrate had no objection with the reconciliation of the parties but advised couples to settle their differences amicably through dialogue and not violence.

Domestic violence is on the rise in the country with many spouses losing their lives in the hands of the person they love or once loved and trusted most.
