Man arrested for lying to Police that he is a journalist

Nairobi - A man has been arrested for lying to Police that he is a journalist at a major media house.
David Ogayo Monday morning produced a staff ID of the Nation Media Group and declared he was a journalist and editor at the Company.
He had asked for information on an ongoing case when arrested.
Police called the media group and asked to be told of Ogayo's credentials but the information sold him out.

" We have a suspect in custody for lying that he is a journalist at a media house and demanding for information," Langata Police CID boss Fatuma Hadi told News24.
The man was sent to a cell to await charges and will be availed before a Nairobi Court on Tuesday.
Section 32 of the penal code prohibits Kenyans from giving false information to Police officers.
