Maasai elders to curse Raila over Ntimama remark

Nairobi - Maasai elders have said they will curse ODM leader Raila Odinga if he doesn’t apologize over remarks that Ntimama called him before he died.
Raila, during Ntimama burial on September in Narok, said Ntimama called him and assured him that he was still in ODM despite having publicly announced he had decamped to Jubilee.
A section of elders have however dismissed the phone call.
“It is unfortunate Raila made false remarks about a man whom we know has a character of hard stance,” Julius ole Ntaiya, aMaa elder to eDaily.
“According to the Maasai culture, when an elderly man dies, his last words spoken publicly stand; and no one should claim anything to the contrary. Even if it’s true that he spoke with Raila before his death, the late Ntimama would still have convened a meeting to communicate the change of political inclination,” he added.
Ntaiya said the CORD leader risks being cursed.
“He should seek forgiveness and blessings from Maasai elders,” he added.
