Luhya problems, Jubilee victory

Nairobi - Join the CORD Coalition and help defeat Jubilee in 2017, Musalia Mudavadi has been told.
The Amani National Congress leader wants to run for the Presidency come the 2017 polls but is rated as one of the worst performing candidates set to take the field.
If he does indeed run, he will only help break the Luhya vote which will only help the Jubilee Coalition which will do well with the opposition splitting votes.
Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale says that the only way forward is to ensure that the opposition is united and will help slow down the Jubilee charge.
" Any disunity in the Luhya region will only serve Jubilee well and no one else," Khalwale told News24.
" A united Luhya vote means that there is no room for Jubilee to sneak through but if it breaks up then they are the winners," he adds.
There has been talk of a coalition between the ANC leader and the CORD coalition but it is not yet clear whether Mudavadi will agree to a deal.
The Jubilee coalition is looking to break up the Luhya vote as it only serves to help their chances of winning another term in office thus the planned tour by President Kenyatta and DP William Ruto to the region in two weeks time.
