Nairobi - The Luhya community has vowed to be behind President Uhuru
Kenyatta in the 2017 General Elections, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka says.
Lusaka, the only Governor in the western Kenya region with
Jubilee persuasion says that he is certain the Luhya community will shun CORD
leader Raila Odinga and vote for the Jubilee Coalition.
He says that Luhyas are tired of being in the opposition and
want to see change brought by the Jubilee caucus.
“The people of the Luhya community are firmly in the Jubilee
Coalition and will support the President come 2017,” he told News24.
“There is need for change. This has been an opposition zone
for way too long. People need to see change,” he added.
Lusaka will stand for reelection in the 2017 elections via
the Jubilee Coalition.
