Liberian President arrives in Kenya for 5 day State visit

Nairobi - Liberian President Ellen Sirleaf Johnson is set to arrive in the country for a 5 day State visit.
The Nobel Peace Prize winning Johnson will jet into the country just before 10 AM and start what will be a period of hectic activity whilst in the country.
Her first stop in the country will be at the grave of Kenya’s founding father President Jomo Kenyatta to pay her respects.
Thereafter, she will head to State House where she will inspect a guard of
honour and hold talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Then on Saturday, Johnson will join Kenyans in celebrating Jamhuri Day celebrations at the Nyayo National Stadium.
She will take a break Sunday where she will do some personal errands.
Come Monday, she is expected to attend the first edition of the International Forum on Women in Business.

On Tuesday, she will attend
the official opening of the World Trade Organization WTO meeting at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre KICC, including several other
official engagements before flying back to Liberia.
This is not the first time Ms Johnson has been to Kenya though.

persecution after then President William Tolbert was killed in a coup.
