Nairobi - A number of leaders will quit the Jubilee Party for Amani Coalition, Musalia Mudavadi says.
Mudavadi says that there will be mass defections in the coming weeks and months from Jubilee, saying that leaders had been promised greener pastures only to find they had been duped.
He congratulated Lamu Governor Issa Timamy for rejoining him in the opposition after moving to the Jubilee Party.
" This is the first of a number of high profile defections. Watch this space and see," he told News24.
Mudavadi says that Amani is well equipped to dim the Jubilee Party stronghold of the country's politics.
" The Jubilee motive of divide and rule will end. Kenyans are tired and want to see the country develop," he added.
Some 11 leaders had quit Amani to head to the Jubilee Coalition, saying that they are seeking development in the ruling party.
