Nairobi - The Kenya union of post primary education teachers has said that the jubilee government hates teachers.
KUPPET Nakuru branch chairman, Gachohi Kimani said that the government hates teachers with passion and has done everything to frustrate teachers.
Speaking Saturday during the opening of a new school in Rongai constituency Kimani said that the jubilee government has shown no passion for teachers since of took power.
"The jubilee government has shown us that it hates teachers because it has demonstrated that since they took power,"said Kimani.
"They have frustrated us by denying us salary increment and even sitting on our monthly contributions from teachers,"he added. Kimani added that the amount of money that has been looted under the jubilee government watch could have paid teachers the 50-60% increment they have been asking for.
"The billions being stolen are more than enough to pay teachers double the salary they are earning today," he said.
The function was also attended by retired president Daniel Moi.
