Koroga Festival hosts Manu Dibango
03 May 2016, 22:06
Nairobi - The Koroga festival is back once more this
time fielding a host of local and international live performances including
none other than Cameroonian Saxophonist and Vibraphonist Emmanuel N'Djoké
Dibango, better known as Manu Dibango.
The Koroga stages have previously hosted
legends like the late Papa Wemba, Koffi Olomide, Oliver Mtukudzi, and Kenya’s
very own Sauti Sol among many others.
The 82 year old Manu combines Jazz, Funk
and elements of traditional Cameroonian music to deliver what could be the
finest Afro fusion music to date.
He will be joined on stage by the Soul
Makossa Gang, Maurice Kirya, Edward Parseen and the Different faces featuring
June Gachui. On the decks will be Deejay’s Adrian and Andre. It all goes down
on the 8th of May at the Arboretum gardens here in Nairobi with tickets going
for KES 2000.
