Nairobi - Is Evans Kidero good enough to continue as Nairobi Governor? An ODM MP apparently thinks not.
Kidero wrote a letter to CORD leader Raila Odinga complaining that Suna East MP Junet Mohammed had stated in public that he is not good enough to be Governor.
Kidero in the letter seen by News24 states that Junet has done him irreparable damage and hurt his candidacy for the 2017 polls.
" Hon Mohamed loudly swore to those who were seated with him and within
the hearing of the entire restaurant that, I will not be a candidate
since the party has already decided to deny me the party ticket,” Kidero
" It does not inspire confidence in his integrity and fairness at
all," Kidero said in the letter copied to ODM party leader Raila Odinga
and chairman John Mbadi.
" I ask that the party take this matter
with a view to reassuring me and other members that the outcomes of the
party nominations for governors and other elective positions have not
Kidero says that Junet must be punished.
The MP on his part said that he will comment on the matter at a set date.
" I have heard them (Complaints). I will respond in due course," he stated.
Kidero is the front runner for the role of nominee for the CORD Coalition come 2017 where he faces serious competition from the Jubilee Coalition for his seat.
