Kidero explains bust up with Sonko

Nairobi - Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has explained his altercation with Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
The two leaders nearly exchanged blows Wednesday afternoon at Parliament buildings during a Senate Public Accounts Committee PAC meeting.
They were however stopped in their tracks just before it became ugly and Kidero says that Sonko was disrespectful.
" The Senator was very disrespectful and everyone who was there knows it," he said.
" Even if he had genuine concerns, there are ways of dealing with things and asking questions and the Senator showed the opposite," he added.
Asked why he reacted to the comments by the Senator, Kidero says he had to protect himself.
" The Senator showed a serious lack of decorum which I cannot allow. We have to be respectful," he added.
The two are both eyeing the Nairobi Governor's seat come the 2017 polls.
