Nairobi - Kick lazy politicians seeking freebies out of CORD, an MP has called on coalition leaders.
According to Funyula MP Paul Otuoma, those politicians seeking direct tickets for seats ahead of nominations must not be allowed to prevail and must leave if they are not ready to fight for their places.
He says that they are taking short cuts and must be treated with the disdain they deserve.
" The governors have tasted power and they want to do whatever they can
to retain it. It is not surprising they want to be given direct
nomination," said Funyula MP Otuoma said.
" These issue of direct tickets will be wrong because then every
first-term elected leader will demand the same. Let them compete for their places," he added.
A number of politicians have already declared their intention to win direct nomination for seats, including Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma who is a big supporter of the move.
