Nairobi - Constituencies in the country that managed the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) money well have been recognized by the national board in charge of the kitty.
The CDF board Tuesday recognized Kibra as the best constituency in the country which has managed and put the fund into a proper use. Kasipul Kabondo was second while Kabuchai was third.
The three constituencies were the best in Nairobi, Kisumu and Western Regions respectively, as per the rankings released by CDF board chairman Elias Mbau and acting Chief Executive officer Yusuf Mbuno.

According to the evaluation, National Assembly majority leader's Garrisa township constituency was the best in North Eastern. Rongai emerged the best in South Rift and Kapseret in North Rift.
Other constituencies that shone regionally included Rabai (Coast) Githunguri (Central) and Kitui Central (Eastern).
Speaking as he released the ranking, Mbau emphasized that the rankings were in no way a measure of the performance of the individual area MPs, noting that the legislators are only patrons of the fund.
“The ranking was based on service delivery of the respective CDF committees in each of the regions and how the disbursed money to the constituencies was accounted for in the projects,” he said.
