Khalwale: It's the police who were rioting

Kakamega - Kakamega Senator, Hon Boni Khalwale has defended CORD protestors saying their demo was peaceful and conducted within the law.
"Picketing and sit-ins are provided for in the constitution. Let me make it clear. It is the police who were rioting," said Khalwale.
"We were peaceful and practicing our constitutional right," he added.

The Senator also said that IEBC holds public office that should be open to everyone who needs any information from them.
"Why did they close the gate?" he posed.
On Monday, CORD brigades staged a protest dubbed 'occupy IEBC' with the aim of ejecting the commissioners from the office before next election.
"IEBC cannot be trusted with the next election." Cord leader Raila Odinga has said severally.
