KES 4 billion for Jubilee's 3-day party launch

Nairobi - The official launch of the new Jubilee party expected to happen between September 10 and 13, 2016 will cost an estimated KES 4 billion, a Jubilee official has said.
The launch will start with delegates conferences from all Jubilee affiliate parties before the official launch on September 13.
According to the official who sought anonymity, a larger portion of the KES 4 billion will go towards paying delegates and party officials, logistics as well as hospitality.
Speaking Thursday in an exclusive interview with News24, the Jubilee insider said that a huge chunk of the money will be from contributions and donations by Jubilee financiers including business tycoons in Nairobi and from abroad.

"It will be a big and costly party and what I know is that the little it can cost will be KES 4 billion," he said.
"We will have over 19,000 delegates at the launch and they must be taken care of," he added.
"The party has financiers from within and without the country who are contributing money to fund the launch of the party and its activities," he said.
Jubilee affiliate party delegates are expected to converge in Nairobi next month to officially pass a resolution to dissolve their parties to form a single party that will sponsor President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy to State House in 2017.
