Kenyans unhappy about new DStv cost cuts
18 October 2016, 14:15
Nairobi - DStv Kenya has cut prices for its Premium, Compact plus, Compact and Family bouquets but Kenyans are not happy.
The subscription fee for Premium bouquet is now KES 8,180 down from KES 9,400. Compact plus goes for KES 5,425, Compact KES 3,550 and Family KES 1,900.
Access subscription remains at KES 1,050 per month.
The firm has also added new channels to Compact plus, Compact and Access.
However, for some these new price changes do not make sense at all.
Eric Njiru still feels that he does not need DStv since he can follow through soccer updates online.
“If you have dealt with DStv then you know what am talking about. We no longer need them, Football is live on FB.”
For Josphat Maish, the price cuts are just unfair.
Daniel Ogeto feels that DStv is still very expensive even after the cuts.
“Why should I pay Ksh 3,550 to get DStv when I can add KES 450 on top and get Zuku internet to watch anything I want?” he poses.
The new prices will be effective beginning November 1, 2016.
