Kenya heading for war in 2017, Governor says

Nairobi - Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has criticized the protests over the IEBC by the CORD Coalition calling them disruptive.
Mutua says that at the moment, leaders should be looking to do constructive things and not cause disharmony with statements, utterances and actions that might lead to trouble.
He said the current rise in political temperatures in the country
reminds him of the activities leading up to the 2007 election and the
subsequent 2008 post-election violence.
" I was serving in the then Central Government at the time and to me
what is going on in the Kenya political scene is similar” Mutua said Thursday.
He warned CORD leaders and the people of Kenya that with the continued
heightened political, tribal and violence climate, the
country will burn again.
" The activities and statements being made by leaders of many affiliations are ingredients for fire and fire burns,” said Mutua. The ascension to political power is not a bad thing but should not be at the expense of the country Kenya and bloodshed," he added.
