Nairobi - A Kenya Airways flight was forced to turn back in mid-air following engine problems, the airline has said.
The flight, KQ 576 headed to Bangui Chad turned back Tuesday morning and completed a safe landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
" A plane to Bangui did a turn back for technical reasons. It was not an emergency situation, the guests will depart on the next available flight," the airline said in a statement.
The country has not seen any major emergency situations with major aircraft in a long time and it will also be re-assuring to see the situation handled well by the relevant pilots and authorities.
