KDF remains silent on number of Somalia casualties

Nairobi - The Kenya Defence Forces remains quiet on the number of soldiers killed in the Al Adde attack in Somalia.
Persistent enquiries by News24 have not yielded fruit this despite some families still yet to know where their relatives are this being over two months since the January 15 attack.
Calls to the KDF headquarters have gone unanswered while communications chief David Obonyo has refused to communicate over the matter.
" There is nothing to say about it," he stated.
Whether the number of dead will ever be known is a mystery.
According to a statement from Somalia's presidency last month, over 100 KDF soldiers died in the attack but that was sternly denied by the KDF.
The bodies of the dead have been slowly buried in silence and despite calls by the opposition for the official numbers to be released, the matter has slowly died down.
