KCB renews its golf sponsorship

19 February 2016, 15:55 Mike Munga

Nairobi - Kenya Commercial Bank has renewed its golf sponsorship for KCB Corporate Golf 2016, committing up to KES 20 million for the tour.

The KCB Corporate Golf 2016 will be an amateur structured tour traversing more than a dozen golf courses across the country.

The tour seeks to grow a robust generation of golfers by giving budding golfers opportunity to hone their skills.

It will also give KCB existing customers, potential clients and partners the opportunity to get more slots to play in various tournaments the bank is sponsoring this year.

The bank will also be giving professional golfers an opportunity to showcase their skills in one of the tournaments, a Pro-Arm event slated for March 5  ahead of the Kenya Open Golf later in the month.

"As a bank, we will continue to support the competition as we believe the future of golfing in East Africa will be defined by the current crop of young amateurs and professional golfers," KCB Director of Marketing, Angela Mwirigi said.

KCB group is also the title sponsor of the Athletics Kenya national cross country championships circuit, the Kenya national rally championship and the KCB Pro-Am golf tour among others.
