KANU to join CORD IEBC talks
04 June 2016, 10:10
Nairobi - KANU is set to join the CORD IEBC talks caucus and will nominate a member to the team.
The CORD team for the talks includes members from ODM (James Orengo, Abdikadir Aden), Wiper (Johnstone Muthama, Mishi Mboko), FORD Kenya, Eseli Simiyu.
But it now seems KANU will get a slot in the team.
" We will make space for KANU to join the team as they have shown willingness to be a part of this process," CORD Co principal Moses Wetangula told News24.
The nominee is likely to be KANU Secretary General Nick Salat who has so far attended IEBC protests.
Whether he attends as Salat or using KANU's clout remains to be seen as he has found some opposition within his own party over the protests.
He has been threatened with disciplinary action for joining the CORD protests but has been equivocal that he will continue.
" If you see me, you see KANU," he said of his involvement in the protests.
