Kampala suburb hit by bed-bugs

Kampala - Rubaga south,Kampala's suburb has been hit by a bed-bugs epidemic which have not only invaded their homes but also public places and commuter taxis.
Residents have cried out to the government to help them by providing them with effective insecticides to kill the bed-bugs.
One of the local leaders,Stanley Mukasa said that the situation is about to run out of control hence need for the government to intervene.

Mukasa said,''Most of the homes in our area have been attacked by bed-bugs.The bed-bugs multiply so fast that in a short time most of the people are affected..''
He said that the situation is made worse by the fake insecticide on the market. He said,'' The insecticide we buy does not kill the bed bugs.We have been informed that it is fake.''
Agnes Akello a teacher who commutes from Rubaga every day in a taxi said,''I must have picked the bed bugs from the taxis to my home .Most of the taxis ate full of bed-bugs.''
City council health official, Paul Nkusi said they are to meet and discuss how to fight against the bed bugs.
