Nairobi - KANU boss Gideon Moi says that Kalonzo Musyoka is the right man for the Kenyan Presidency come the 2017 elections.
He says that he knows Kalonzo from his days in the government and that he has a proven track record and lacks tribalism like other leaders in the country.
He told News24 that Kalonzo was the most likely candidate to return Kenya to its glory days.
" Kenya has been run down by the Jubilee Coalition and the right man to change that is Kalonzo," he stated.
He also said categorically that KANU would not join the Jubilee Coalition come the 2017 elections.
" Jubilee has decided on its own path and KANU too, so we will meet on the ballot," he added.
Moi says that the likelyhood is that KANU will partner with the CORD Coalition come the 2017 polls but that an official decision will be made in due course.
KANU has vehemently opposed the merger of the Jubilee Coalition, which it supported in the 2013 polls, saying it was unhealthy for the country's democracy.
