Kalonzo mends fences with Raila

Nairobi - Cord co-Principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga held a meeting Thursday.
The two leaders met at Raila’s Capitol Hill office in Upper Hill for close to three hours.
Their meeting came hot on the heels of a rift that has threatened to tear the coalition apart.
Kalonzo had insisted that he will be on the ballot next year, and persistently asked Raila to step down and support his bid.
On Thursday, Kalonzo softened his stance and said he would back whoever is picked to be the coalition’s flag bearer.
“People should not be worried because we will stick together and nobody will tear us apart,” Kalonzo said amid rumors that he was headed to Jubilee Party.
Raila, after the meeting also reassured their supporters that the coalition is strong as before: “We reaffirm the unity of our Coalition to deliver democracy and reforms to the Kenyan people.”
