Eldoret - Ainamoi Member of Parliament, Benjamin Langat has said that the Chief Justice nominee David Maraga is unfit to be the next Chief Justice of Kenya.
Langat, whose brother’s killers were handed a 10-year jail term by Justice Maraga, said that he would rally legislators to reject his appointment.
Langat said that Justice Maraga’s ruling in Nakuru in 2009 following the killing of his elder brother and Ainamoi MP David Too was unfair.

“A quick look at my late brother’s case reveals that the judge was biased. Justice Maraga admitted weak evidence and as a family, we feel that we did not get justice,” he said.
Justice Maraga had in 2009 reduced the murder to manslaughter and sentenced Andrew Moeche to 10 years in prison for killing Too and his companion Eunice Chepkwony in Eldoret.
