Jubilee told to prepare for mass walkouts after Saturday launch

Nairobi - A Jubilee member of Parliament has told his party to prepare for mass walkouts immediately after its official launch on weekend.
The MP from Nakuru County said there is a possibility of an exodus from the party because of unresolved internal issues.
He added that the party should quickly address the thorny issues that are likely to rock it before it’s too late.
Speaking Tuesday in Nakuru town, the MP who requested anonymity said that the delegates issue is just an example of the many problems that will bedevil Jubilee in the coming days.

“As much as we are happy about the launch of the new party, we must be ready to agree that there are a lot of unresolved issues that might rock the party internally,” he said.
“If these issues are not addressed early enough, we might witness a mass exodus from Jubilee even before the general elections,” he added.
He further warned that the party should be wary of politicians defecting from CORD because not all of them had good intentions.
“We should not be happy that people are defecting to Jubilee because some might be coming to cause chaos and defect afterwards,” said the MP.
The Jubilee party will be launched on September 10.
