Kericho - The race to replace former Kericho Senator, Charles Keter who was recently appointed to the Cabinet starts this weekend.
Jubilee Party on Wednesday announced that nominations for the Jubilee party ticket will be conducted on January 16 at the various polling stations in the County.
Keter was in December elevated to the cabinet last month by President Uhuru Kenyatta, where he is serving as the Energy Cabinet Secretary.
His seat was subsequently declared vacant according to the law and a by-election is supposed to take place on March 7.

Tallying will be conducted at the six sub-County headquarters and the main tallying station will be at the Kericho Teachers Training College (TTC).
Candiates who will square out at the ballot for the ticket include former ODM Executive Director, Magerer Langat who was dramatically ejected from Orange House in 2014, and Franklin Bett, a former Elections Board chairman of the same party.
Aaron Cheruiyot, Sammy Chepkwony, Festus Kirui and Joel Kirui are also battling for the same party ticket.
