Jubilee to blame for Kakamega violence, Kalonzo says

03 April 2016, 16:00 Victor Tinto

Nairobi - The Jubilee Coalition is to blame for the violence in Kakamega in which FORD Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula's Presidential launch was affected.

Wiper Party leader and COR Co Principal Kalonzo Musyoka has linked the teargassing of the main dais to a "well-schemed plan" by Jubilee to try and divide CORD ahead of  the 2017 polls.

He says that they received reports stating that the government would use police to cause disruptions.

"I want to tell the Jubilee shame on you. How dare you lob teargas at a very peaceful event like this? How shameless are you to teargas old and respected men like Burudi Nabwera?," he stated.

" This shows thew desperation with which the government is keen to divide the opposition. They sense defeat ahead of the 2017 elections," he added.

The event in Kakamega was stopped after police lobbed teargas at the crowd and main dais.

Kalonzo was in attendance during the launch.
