Nairobi - A Jubilee Senator held talks with CORD leader Kalonzo Musyoka over a potential shift to the opposition.
A meeting between the CORD leader and Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko took place over a potential move for Sonko to dump the Jubilee Coalition for a spot in the opposition to take over the Machakos Governor's seat.
Sonko though said he was happy with his place in the Jubilee camp.
" I am happy here," he is reported to have said.
Sonko himself poured water on the claims he will shift allegiances, saying win or lose he is happy within Jubilee.
" I am happy at Jubilee and will remain, even if I lose the nominations. I will support President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017," he stated.
Sonko faces a tough task convincing the electorate to vote him Nairobi Governor.
He will face off with a 6 team competition in the Jubilee nominations and then battle Governor Evans Kidero if he makes it to that stage.
