Nairobi - Police will arrest an MP for calling for Luos to be kicked out of Nakuru for taking part in anti IEBC protests.
Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri made the comments Saturday in Nakuru Town after CORD leader Raila Odinga had visited the town to seek support for the ongoing IEBC protests.
" They will not destroy our businesses and property and we let them get away with it. They will move out. They must go," he stated.
Police, when contacted by News24 stated that they would arrest Ngunjiri Monday.
" He will be taken in for questioning on Monday. If he does not come, we will be forced to pick him up," Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett told News24 on phone.
He said that hate speech was unnaceptable and must not be allowed to take precedence in the country.
" It is unnaceptable to divide Kenyans along tribal lines and we will not allow it to take place," he added.
Raila and the CORD Coalition are continuing with anti IEBC protests across the country with the aim of bringing change to the electoral body.
