Nairobi - A Jubilee Coalition MP has formally announced that he will vie for the Nairobi Governors seat in the 2017 General Elections.
Nominated MP Johnstone Sakaja who is also the National Alliance Party TNA Chairman announced Monday that he will compete to kick Evans Kidero out of office.
The youthful MP stated that he felt the time was right to make the announcement and seek election.
He also confirmed that he would have a running mate from Central Kenya.
" I'd like the rumours to end. I will vie for the Governor's seat in the 2017 elections," he said at a Jubilee Strategy meeting at a Nairobi Hotel.
Sakaja is set to compete for the Jubilee ticket with former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru and former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko is also rumoured to be in the running.
