Jubilee MP accuses Uhuruto of doing zero for Western Kenya

Nairobi - A Jubilee Party allied MP has criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto for doing little for western Kenya.
Lugari MP Ayub Savula says that the only projects that have succeeded in the region are CDF funded and those are guaranteed to all 290 constituencies in Kenya.
He says that the government has shown nothing special to western Kenya and as a result it is tough to sell it to the people.
" 9 months to go and we have seen very little come to western Kenya except for projects that have CDF funds allocated to them," he complained to News24.
He said that the Pan Paper mills in Webuye had also taken time to get going.
" The plant is not performing yet the Jubilee government promised to revive it long ago," he added.
Jubilee is seeking massive support from western Kenya ahead of the 2017 polls but has struggled to convince the masses that they are worthy of their votes.
Western Kenya has long been a stronghold of CORD leader Raila Odinga's and it seems the trend is set to continue during the 2017 elections.
