Jubilee MP accuses Uhuru, Raila of protecting hate mongers

Nakuru - A Jubilee member of parliament has accused both President Uhuru Kenyatta and CORD leader Raila Odinga of protecting hate and war mongers who are their supporters.
The MP who sought anonymity said that Uhuru and Raila are not committed in fighting hate speech in the country because they are beneficiaries of the same.
Speaking in Nakuru town on Wednesday, the MP said that lack of political will from the two senior leaders is hampering efforts to fight the propagation of hate speech in the country.
He said that politicians engaging in hate speech have blessings from their political fathers who are Uhuru and Raila.
"This war against hate speech cannot be won because the hate mongers are getting protection from the highest levels in the land and taking them to court is simply some cheap PR," he said.

"Uhuru and Raila should stop siding with and supporting these hate mongers and this war will be won," he added.
"It seems as if the President and Raila are beneficiaries of what these hate mongers are doing and that is why they don't want them to be punished," he said.
The legislator warned that if no action is taken to stop the propagation of hate speech, the country might end up to ashes.
He called on the Judiciary to act hard on the eight members of parliament facing hate speech charges as a way of warning others with a similar intention.
