08 March 2016, 09:48 Jackson Okata

Nairobi - The Kenya post primary education teachers union has said that the jubilee government has crippled and killed teachers unions and made them impotent by denying them money.

KUPPET Nakuru branch chairman, Sammy Kambo said that the two teachers unions of KNUT and KUPPET can no longer function normally because they are broke.

He said that the government directed TSC to stop remitting the monthly contributions from teachers to both KNUT and KUPPET.

"KUPPET and KNUT can no longer function because we have been made impotent by the jubilee government by being denied money,"said Kambo.

He added "Jubilee has intentionally denied KNUT and KUPPET money with the aim of clipping our influence but we will meet at the ballot," He accused jubilee of using berberic means of punishing those perceived to be against the government .

"The jubilee government is behaving like the KANU government where people are being forcibly targeted and punished for not supporting the government and that trend is worrying,"he said.
