Jubilee grooming Kabogo to be Ruto's 2022 running mate

14 January 2016, 15:35 Jackson Okata

Nairobi - Members of Parliament from the Mount Kenya region are pushing for Kiambu Governor, William Kabogo to be Deputy President William Ruto's running mate in the 2022 general election.

According to a Member of Parliament from Nakuru County who sought anonymity, Kabogo is the perfect match for deputy president in 2022.

The MP said that Kabogo is the most combative politician and has all it takes to lead central Kenya after the retirement of President Kenyatta.

"You have seen Kabogo moving around with DP Ruto and you have seen him making rounds in Rift Valley; that is a clear indication he has his eyes fixed on something and we will help him get there," said the MP.

"There is no person who can lead central Kenya after the retirement of Uhuru better than Kabogo," he added.

He added that Ruto will have to pick a running mate from mount Kenya region, and that they have started preparing Kabogo for the position.
