Nairobi - I was approached by Jubilee to quit ODM, an MP has said.
Kajiado Central MP Memusi Kanchori says that he was called out by the Jubilee Coalition to quit the opposition and told that he will risk losing his seat come the 2017 elections.
Kajiado has five constituencies, four of which are under the Jubilee Coalition and according to Kanchori, he is not leaving the opposition party despite the hue gap.
" I have been told that I should join Jubilee so that we complete the Kajiado axis but I am not going to do so. I am in ODM to stay," he stated Monday to News24 on phone.
Kanchori beat the Jubilee Coalition against all odds in the 2015 by election and he is confident that there will me more ODM Parliamentarians in the coming polls.
" Jubilee has failed to deliver on its promises and its only a matter of time before we get them out of office," he added.
Kanchori is currently on a tour of western Kenya together with party leader Raila Odinga.
