Join ODM, Meru leaders tell Munya

Nairobi - Leaders from the Meru community have called on Governor Peter Munya to join Raila Odinga and the CORD Coalition.
Munya has vowed to leave the ruling Jubilee Coalition ahead of the 2017 General Elections and vowed to use a vessel of his own to contest the polls.
He is also keen on the Presidency come the 2022 elections.
The leaders who paid the CORD leader Odinga a courtesy call at Orange House in Nairobi Friday stated that they would help dislodge the Jubilee Coalition in the region.
" Today we have seen people from the Meru region say that they are willing to work with ODM. This is a huge step for the party and an indicator that people want change," the CORD leader said.
The move by the Meru faction will put pressure on Munya to choose sides ahead of what is set to be a pivotal poll for him.
With his time in Jubilee coming to an end, he is likely to either go his way or join the opposition to help him get support.
Whether he does remains to be seen.
