Join Jubilee to 'resurrect' politically, MP tells Kalonzo

14 December 2015, 13:23 Jackson Okata

Nairobi - Wiper Democratic Party leader and CORD co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has been told to join the jubilee party as the only way of ‘resurrecting’ his dying political career.

Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri said that Kalonzo is dead politically by associating himself with CORD leader Raila Odinga and called on him to dump Raila if he wants to remain relevant politically.

Ngunjiri said that Kalonzo can be a political force to reckon with only if he disassociates himself with Raila.

Speaking Sunday in Nakuru town Ngunjiri said that CORD under the leadership of Raila Odinga is a sinking ship and advised Kalonzo to jump ship before it fully sinks.

“My brother Kalonzo was fooled into joining CORD and that killed him politically but he can still resurrect if he decides to see the light and join Jubilee,” said Ngunjiri.

He added “there is no way he will be relevant politically if he continues being under Raila Odinga”.

Ngunjiri said that a good number of members of CORD in both houses have shown interest of joining jubilee ahead of 2017.

“I know of so many of my friends from the senate and the national assembly who are members of CORD and they are planning to jump ship before 2017 and many of them are members of Kalonzo’s party and as their leader he should lead the way,” he said.
