Nairobi - Kenyan Jazz lovers are in for a treat this
weekend starting from Thursday the 22nd of September all the way to
Saturday the 24th, all thanks to the Jazz and Roots Festival 2016.
It features performances from 4 different countries, Kenya, Botswana, Nigeria
and Cameroun in a rich and unique musical experience.
Headlining all of these
acts will be none other than Keziah Jones from Nigeria, well known across the
world for his unique musical style simply called ‘BluFunk’. Maia von Lekow will
be the opening act for this unique must attend performance by the musical
Other acts who will be taking the stage
will include Kabo Leburu from Botswana performing live at the Choices Bar on
the 22nd, the main act on the 23rd at the TreeHouse
Nairobi and Franck Biyong from Cameroun, Eddie Grey, Achieng Abura and Teto
Tutuma all from Kenya playing on the 24th at the Elephant.
