It's Ruto's duty to ensure that Uhuru wins the 2017 polls

Nairobi - The 2017 general election means more to deputy President than it does to President Uhuru Kenyatta, a member of Parliament has said.
According to Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi, Deputy president William Ruto must and will do everything possible to make sure that President Uhuru Kenyatta wins the 2017 general election because that is what will determine his chances of being President in 2022.
Cheboi said it will be Ruto’s responsibility to work hard and ensure Uhuru wins his re-election to boost his chances in 2022.

Speaking in Kuresoi, Cheboi said that Ruto will personally lead Uhuru’s 2017 re-election campaigns because if he knows that if Uhuru fails in 2017, his dream of being President in 2022 will remain a dream.
“The 2017 election means a lot to DP Ruto than it means to Uhuru and Ruto will do all he can to ensure that Uhuru wins re-election in 2017. If Uhuru fails in 2017 then Ruto automatically fails in 2022 and that is why he must work hard to ensure that Uhuru is re-elected,” said Cheboi.
“Ruto will ensure that Uhuru gets more votes than he got in 2013 because by doing so he will be cementing his chances of being elected in 2022,” he said.
Cheboi said that if Ruto helps Uhuru win in 2017, then it will be hard for Uhuru’s people to betray him (Ruto) in 2022.
