It will be a miracle for Ruto to be President in 2022, says KANU

17 February 2016, 11:40 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - KANU secretary general, Nick Salat has said that it will be a great miracle for deputy President William Ruto to become President in 2022.

Salat said though the country will have a new President in 2022, it will not be Ruto.

He advised him to stop dreaming of becoming Kenya's 5th President because  it is like 'trying to get milk out of a stone.'

"Kalenjins have been hoodwinked into believing that Ruto will be President in 2022 but I want them to know that there are certain forces that will never allow Ruto to become President of this country because they don’t trust him at all and thus will not allow him to ascend to power,” said Salat.

He added: “Ruto should be prepared for a huge political shock in 2022 because the people he thinks will help him get to power will be the ones opposing him vehemently.”

Salat said that plans to lock Ruto out of the Presidency started by convincing him to dissolve his own party to join Jubilee.

“One of the plans (they have) is to make him partyless before 2022 and they have succeeded in that,” he said.
