Is Jubilee's once formidable house leaking water?

08 December 2015, 16:08 Cheruo Levi Cheptora

Nairobi - Rumours doing the usual unguarded rounds on social media have now been formally put to rest, thanks to the Nakuru Town East  sitting Member of Parliament, David Gikaria's confirmation that there are people within Jubilee whose part-time preoccupation is fanning Raila (who is also the co-principal of the opposition coalition, CORD) with sensitive government secrets.

“One wonders how Raila and the civil society would be getting top government secrets from government ministries without the help of someone from within government. There are people inside government who have decided to source information from the government and leak it to the opposition,” said the visibly dejected and worried Gikaria.

The revelations made by the Jubilee legislator in Nakuru town are a clear indication that Jubilee's once formidable house is leaking water and a disturbingly sizable number of its army of equally once-formidable followers is fast switching allegiances.

It is now an open secret that the opposition is well informed about top government secrets and has been using such critical information to its political advantage.

Whether such revelations will help arrest the 'self-destruction' wave in the embattled governing coalition or not, only time will tell.
