Nairobi - Investigate CORD leader Raila Odinga's claims on the Murang'a Water scandal, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has said.
Atwoli wants the Jubilee Government to stop dismissing the opposition over the multi-billion shillings water project in Murang'a County.
Raila recently claimed that the project was a scam in the making and asked for thorough look into claims that KES 6 billion would be lost in the deal.
"I'm telling the Jubilee administration not to hurry in dismissing Raila's remarks over the project. It is prudent for them to conduct investigations first," said Atwoli.
He argued that it would be disastrous if the Government implements the project when it is true that it may cause adverse environmental impact.
Raila claimed that the project had been waylaid by influential persons and that the taxpayer would lose billions of shillings in the deal.
