Mombasa - The Council of Imams and preachers (CIPK) Mombasa branch has urged CORD leaders to suspend the anti-IEBC campaigns during the holy month of Ramadhan.
Speaking to journalist on Thursday, the Imams lead by CIPK organizing secretary Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa argued that chaos experienced during the demos may disrupt the faith of Muslims.
"Whether they will hold a meeting with the Government to find ways of resolving the IEBC issue or not, what we request from CORD is a peaceful time during the holy month of Ramadhan,’’ stated Khalifa.
