Nairobi - I'm ready to work with the Jubilee Coalition, an ODM Governor has said.
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojamong says that he is ready to work with the Jubilee Coalition as long as they are development oriented and are looking to improve the lives of Kenyans.
He says that he has a number of serious development projects that need to be implemented and has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider them when he visits the region this month.
" I am ready to work with the government as concerns development projects in the County. I have always said that I am open to that at all times," he told News24 on phone.
He said that preparations are already underway to welcome the President.
" We are happy to have the head of state coming to visit us and to open a number of projects in the county and preparations to ensure his visit is smooth are underway," he added.
Busia has been in the news in recent times thanks to a rebellion from leaders allied to ODM in the region.
Ojamong though, says that he does not wish to dwell into that discussion.
" The time for politicking is not yet here. We will deal with that next year," he stated.
The leaders in question are Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba and his Funyula counterpart Paul Otuoma.
