Nairobi - Former Starehe member of Parliament, Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has said that she is still in the race for the Nairobi governorship.
Speaking to News24 on Monday, Wanjiru said that reports that she is supporting Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa are false and aimed to discredit her candidature.

"I am in the race for Nairobi governorship. I am not supporting Eugene Wamalwa as alleged," she said.
on Sunday, Wamalwa and MPs Stephen Kariuki (Mathare), Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and Rachel Shebesh (Nairobi County) attended the Church service at Bishop Margaret Wanjiru's Jesus is Alive Ministries church in Nairobi.
Their meeting raised eyebrows across the political circles with pundits saying that the two could form an alliance ahead of the 2017 elections.
