Nairobi - A CORD coalition Senator has denied reports that he is leaving the CORD Coalition for the ruling Jubilee.
David Musila, the Wiper Democratic Party chairman and Kitui Senator led a group of MPs and MCA's from Kitui to State House for a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta Thursday but he has denied that the meeting was political.
He stated that the meeting was purely development oriented and not political.
" We are firmly within Wiper. I am not leaving. No one is," he told News24 after the trip to State House.
He stated that the talk was purely centred on development, construction of roads and similar issues.
" If you ask the President he will tell you there was no political talk at all," he stated.
The MP's agreed to host the President in Kitui at some point in the future as a friend to the people of the region.
