Nairobi - An ODM MP says he is yet to leave the party and head to the Jubilee Coalition but says plans to do so are already underway.
Kitutu Masaba MP Henry Onyonka says that he has yet to join Jubilee or support them but says that he is consulting on what to do next.
Onyonka is among a group of opposition leaders from the Kisii region who are angling towards the ruling coalition.
He however says that thus far there is no movement in that regard.
" I am yet to leave ODM and that move is not yet close," he told News24.
He however added that the recent trip to State House to see President Uhuru Kenyatta had bourne fruit as the head of state will be visiting Kisii County next week.
" The President will be with us in the coming weeks and he will spend four days in Kisii to reaffirm his commitment to making development a reality," he added.
Onyonka has previously stated that he is quitting ODM because he feels that the party has offered nothing to his people despite years of support to leader Raila Odinga.
